The spellbinding beauty of Disney World unfolds across miles of wonder and excitement. Comfortable walking shoes are your first step toward a day filled with adventure and exploration, free from the distractions of weary feet. Ensure every step is a joyous one, for both the young and the young at heart. As a family we are a fan or our New Balance Cross Trainers, my favorite ones can be found here Just remember to wear them for a few days at home to break them in, you don’t want sore feet or blisters which can happen from any new shoes. - Sun Protection
The Florida sun, with all its glorious warmth, demands respect. Arm yourselves with sunscreen, a stylish yet practical hat, and sunglasses to shield your eyes from the sun’s enchanting rays. This trio of protection will keep the magic alive from sunrise to sunset. With our family being sun sensitive it took us a while to find a sun screen that worked for us. We love the Sun Bum Kids SPF 50 which can be found here or even the Sun Bum Original SPF 70 which can be found here. I have been known to turn lobster red in the sun. I came across this sun screen in Jamaica, after the SPF 100 sports one I brought did nothing for me, so I went to the gift shop and they only carried Sun Bum. After trying it, I won’t use anything else. - Portable Battery Pack
In an age where technology and magic intertwine, your smartphone is the key to unlocking the wonders of Disney World. A portable battery pack ensures that not a moment of magic is missed, keeping you connected to ride times, dining reservations, and of course, capturing those priceless memories. Now for our family we are Samsung lovers so we can get away with a simple battery pack, like the one found here, but for those that have a divided family between I Phone and Android then let me suggest a battery pack that also has cables attached for USB-a, ios, type c and even the micro USB, this battery pack keeps everything altogether for one stop charging and can be found here. Personally I like to carry my battery packs and cables all in one organizer pouch bag. My favorite one is the one you can find here It keeps everything neat and together plus when packing all I have to do is grab this and I have everything already in there. - Reusable Water Bottle
Adventure awaits at every corner, and staying hydrated is the secret potion to sustaining your energy throughout the day. A reusable water bottle is not only a beacon of convenience but also a tribute to the enchanted lands you’ll be exploring, with numerous refill stations readily available. What some don’t realize is you can walk up to any quick service drink station and ask for a cup of ice or ice water (at no cost)-for hygiene reasons they won’t fill up a personal water bottle, but we bring these water bottles in with us and empty the cups of ice water into them. Keeping us hydrated and save some cash. - Ponchos or Rain Jackets
Even in the most magical of worlds, the rain must fall. A compact poncho or rain jacket allows you to embrace the refreshing Florida showers, ensuring that your spirits remain as buoyant as Aladdin’s magic carpet, even under a deluge. We all have been caught in the quick rain storm that happens in the Florida afternoon, we find that keeping these in our backpack works just in case the quick afternoon rain storm was sent by a villain and hangs around all afternoon. - Cooling Towels
As the sun reaches its zenith, a cooling towel becomes your personal oasis. A simple wet, wring, and snap will transport you to a cooler realm, ensuring that the heat does not diminish the brilliance of your magical quest. We love the ones that can be found here, another great use of that free ice water that you can get at any quick service. You wet these towels down and keep them around your neck, head, etc.. to stay cool and comfortable. - Snacks
The joy of discovery is often accompanied by the call of hunger. Portable snacks like granola bars, fruit, and crackers can quell the hunger of young adventurers and seasoned travelers alike, keeping the magical experience free from the distractions of an empty stomach. Just remember no glass jars (unless it’s baby food) and no alcohol can be brought into the park. - Autograph Book and Pen
For many, the essence of Disney World is encapsulated in the moment they meet their favorite character. An autograph book and pen serve as the vessels to capture these encounters, ensuring that each signature becomes a memory that transcends time. For those looking for the more traditional autograph books, you will find our favorite here. Just remember to also bring a sharpie marker. They are a quick and easy backup if your pen fails and easy for the characters to hold. Now I have seen many non-traditional autograph books…my favorite being the white mat from a picture frame, like this one. When you get home, you put your favorite picture of the vacation in the frame and its surrounded by the signatures of all of the characters you met during your vacation. - Backpack
A lightweight backpack becomes the treasure chest for your daily essentials. It’s the perfect companion to carry your magical artifacts, snacks, and souvenirs. Opt for comfort and convenience, but remember, even in the realm of magic, size matters – make sure it adheres to the park’s size restrictions. We like this one, for when the whole family goes, we fill it up with our Sun Bum, water bottles, phone chargers, etc but when its just the two of us I just take my Travelon Women’s Messenger Bag. This travel purse has gone to Disney, Universal, Jamaica, cruises, and countless other locations with the 5 point anti-theft security system, the locking zippers, and water bottle holders, its my favorite go to travel item. - First Aid Supplies
In the midst of wonder, it’s wise to be prepared for the mundane. A small first aid kit equipped with band-aids, antiseptic wipes, and essential medications ensures that minor setbacks don’t turn into major obstacles. Our favorite is this one, its small and comes filled with everything you may need, however the big thing you need to remember to bring with you is band-aids and blister cushions just toss them in a Ziploc back and carry them in your purse or backpack.
